i just noticed that when i open IE it takes about 2 mins for it to open. When i add a new tab the same thing happens, IE just freezes for about 2 mins before the new tab appears. It wasn't like this yesterday. My Firefox and Opera is working just fine though. I tried to sweep with spysweeper and scan with norton antivirus. Found no viruses although spysweeper did remove some adware but IE still has the same problem. please help. Thanks.

forgot to mention my specs. it's an HP Pavilion with Pentium D 2.66 Ghz, 1 gb ram, Windows XP Media Center Edition... it's not even a year old. It's only IE that freezes like that.... even photoshop and 3ds max loads faster

You may need to re-optimize your computer. If you have a program that can optimize your PC run it and check for errors.
