THe most difficult time of any marriage is when the "honeymoon" is over and the romance has gone. When it gets down to the everyday activities of the couples. The annoying habbits that one suddenly percieves inthier partner. The dreaded "taking for granted" This is the dawning of consciousness. It is when one decides do I wish to stay with this person, or do I leave. There is I feel, no time limit for this to occurr. If both work at their marriage, and keep appreciating each others values and contributions to the marriage, this period may never come. However, in too many marriages it does for one reason or another. It is not the bill paying or the kids or employment. These are but excuses. It is us, the ones invovled in the marriage. We have the power to make it the most beautiful thing we have ever experienced, or our worst nightmare.

The first 3 years of a marriage are the hardest. When you get married you think you know a person. You really might. What you didn't know is that everytime you came over he stuffed all his mickey mouse movies and G.I. Joes in a closet and threw all his dirty laundry in the washer without sorting it. It's the first year that's probably the absolute hardest because the newlywedness is starting to wear off and you're finding out all the little annoying things you never knew before about one another. However, if you can make it 3 years... you're golden.

I guess when you have kids young with out enjoying your 15 - 24 years or when you don't enjoy your marriage .. problems come by because you will have to be more mature a short age take big responsabilities and don't have fun at all .... So I alway recomend to have all the fun before getting compromised with someone even boyfriends... then after gettign married spend at least a year with your hubby / wife and have fun together then plan kids and love them & have fun with them....

I got married at 18 & had a baby after 2 yrs but because he cheat & left him I got married again after 2 years I am still happily married( 5yrs this july) & we waited 2 yrs to have our first kid ( i had an older daugther from my 1st marriage) we still have that sparkle in our relationship !!!

The first year is the hardest. Everything is new. You are getting used to each others habits and routines. You are trying to combine your things into one home and create a style that suits both your tastes. Grocery shopping for two, remembering that you have to buy things that you both like. It's just an adjustment period. But trust me, when you are in love, it is totally worth it.

I heard that there is an adjustment period of about two years when you marry someone you have not lived with before.
There will be always difficulties, added on by stress of finances, children and extended family. You have to do your very best, remember why you got married in the first place, and work WITH each other, not AGAINST one another,
Best of luck.

If you wait until you are mature and hold down a job and are willing not to be jealous, there should be no difficulties. Both of you must learn to accept to other just as they are, no jealousy, no nagging, willing to help each other in whatever they are doing. Wait to have babies until you are comfortable in housing, jobs, and each other.
