No, I usually feel sorry for them, but if they are not known to me, I try to act as if I don't notice it.

Not really at funerals. Now if the person was crying really loud and yelling profanities to our Dear Lord, in the funeral home, with all the guests watching, and the usher having to whisk her away, then I find that rather annoying.

This may sound funny, but this did happen. Everybody at the funeral was ticked off because it made the services longer.

I believe people should control themselves in public places, and leave their emotions to relatives in the living room or cry in the bedroom...alone or with a companion to comfort them. There's a time and there's a place.

It only annoys me if it's someone who habitually cries every time they go out and have a few drinks and then the boo hooing starts and it's like they are trying to think of the saddest moments in their lives instead of having a good time which was the original intention . It's nearly as bad as someone who gets mean when they drink .

If I see someone crying, I get scared because I don't want them to feel more uncomfortable. But if it's a bratty child, I really don't care...they need a little discipline!

yes it does even though I know crying is showing ur true feelings and is healthy for u. I do mine in private and was reared not to cry at all anyway. Not saying I'm right but it irritates me to no end, especially if I know it's for attention and sympathy

Depends on the type of crying. If it is just a little weeping that's one thing but if it is an unnecessary, snotty ugly cry, yes that is definitely annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It also depends on whether or not the person is a chronic cryer...

not initially. i would ask them why they are crying and try to help if i can. the only way i would get annoyed is if the reason they are crying is totally stupid... like their ice cream fell on the floor, or something dumb like that.

but i guess it also depends on the persons age.

Yeah, mostly because i'm confused.
IMO there aren't many good reasons to be crying. But I still feel sorry for them at the same time.

No. The first thing I do is go up to them and ask if everything is ok or if they need help - especially if they are in public. Too many people these days are all to content to look on and not do anything.
