The government's main responsibilities are in infrastructure and security. They can butt out of pretty much everything else. I don't see any reason to pay higher taxes for something that should be priority number one in the first place. Cut out some of the studies of meal worms and defend our borders!

Well, less government in most parts of our lives, yes. I think the point is that there are some few legitimate purposes of government, and many think that this is one.
The alternative, really, is to eliminate border security altogether. I mean, having security at some parts of the border is kinda like sailing on a ship that is only leaking in one part of the boat.

That question is a oxymoron, if we control immigration we save alot. The hospitals will have less illegals therefore saving money.The schools will have less, the everything will have less of a load, meaning lower overhead. That is the great crime that noone seems to care about, the corporations who use the illegal labor and their shareholders benifit by useing the low cost labor and they shift the cost of overhead on to the general public. meaning that your tax dollars are being used to subsidize them, you pay in taxes, they get cheap labor from immigrants and then immigrants use the social services for free. No, I don't want more taxes, I want less. I do want border security. Call up veterans if necessary, give them a gun and let them shut any criminals that come across the border. There is no difference between these illegals and the Koreans, Vietnamese, Iraquis, etc. we have been shooting at.

No, they should be using the tax dollars that they already have to patrol the border. I'm sick of the cons in govenment wasting our tax money on their corporate backers, and then finding any excuse to tax us even more--what an INSULT!!!!
