I am a polite person. I excuse myself. Now when I refer to breaking wind I say pass gas or fart and the new word on television is pooted.

Depends on who I am with. With my husband and his family I would use "fart". My parents and grandparents I would probably say "pass wind". At work, I don't pass wind except in the loo [I 'm too embarrassed in case it's smelly or loud].

In public i tend to look around if it was someone else. When it comes to my husband, kids and brothers. I lift my leg and let rip. I really enjoy a good fart, especially if its a smelly one. lmao

Well, listening to the guys they say fart, and then say things like "Good one", "Who cut the Cheese?", "go scrape your leg" "the dog did it" "that was a ripe one" Then laugh uproariously. And remember in "Gold Member" when he says "Did you just soil yourself?"

I don't say either, I just walk away and look at someone else with horror!!!!If someone was in my company and they 'farted' I would ask who opened their lunch box, or what crawled up you and died!!

Depends on the company I am keeping. It can range from "Colon Belch" to "poofed".
