Has any of y'all heard of Second Life? What is so great about it?

Yes! There are over 3 million residents of Second Life.
The "viewer" you must download is a small download. The only worry usually is your graphics ability.. on the second life website you can find a list of graphics cards that are best. But most newer computors handle it just fine. Small impact program.
Very good to know: Second life is seen mostly as a game but that wasn't the purpose of it. It was made to be a social platform like the phone or internet, but in 3D. So everything is built by the residents of second life, and there is no gameplay strategy. It really brings out my creativity and is "fun" in that way. Also meeting people from all over the world...
About the safety of Second Life: Its big business (you can access a real economy and make real money by converting your "lindin" dollars into real cash) So many real life companies are joining Second Life and opening virtual offices!! Like the NBA, Wells fargo Bank, Century 21 real estate, Toyota, etc. So that says something about the safety of the viewer download :))
SL is amazing, I have been working (real part time job) Inside Second Life for almost a year. If you download and enter SL, be sure to hit the F1 key at anytime for a help window.
easy tutorial to start with also... and use the search window to search for "Oasis Sauna and TiKi bar" (thats my free fun place to relax and meet people) see ya there I hope...
so much to do and see... and if you dont see something you love... make it! PS there is soccer!

you can dance and play
and be real or be wicked it's all up to you

my sister in law plays that all the time, I have watched her a few times and it seems okay... I am not
very interested in playing myself though
