but that people regulary confuse.
it also needs a scientific explaination.

ex. why does the wind blow?
because of the different pressures.

People commonly believe that plants change carbon dioxide into oxygen and that animals change oxygen into carbon dioxide. Not true, of course. Though photosynthesis does use carbon dioxide, the oxygen given off by the process comes from molecules of water. And all kinds of organisms do cellular respiration, including plants. During respiration, carbon dioxide is given off, but the oxygen is used to accept the electrons at the end of the electron transport chain. The oxygen becomes part of water, not carbon dioxide.

People also commonly believe that fish breathe the oxygen from the water molecules ... the O in H2O. Actually, fish breathe the oxygen molecules, O2, that are dissolved in the water ... scattered between molecules of water.

A common misconception has to do with seasons and why we have them. People seem to understand that the earth sits on a tilted axis; however, you would be surprised how many people say we are closer to the sun during the summer months when in reality it has to do with the amount of direct rays the earth receives during that time. We are not closer to the sun in the summer.

As for the Ramones, i does no longer hesitate to signify the stay LP/CD 'that's Alive.' The Ramones at their acceptable. As for the Saints, I easily have in ordinary words listened to their first and second LPs/CDs. yet they too rocked and deserve as a lot credit because the Ramones do. another false impression that i will imagine of, yet that doesn't fairly hardship me, replaced into that on the time all of those bands did no longer have the get admission to to expsoure the Punk bands do in the present day. No company sponsorship, no major labels, no air play... yet did that supply up them from making reliable song? No.

People think the word THEORY means there is a lot of room for doubt, as in "Well, Evolution is just a theory.", Meaning it is no where near correct.

In reality a theory is a concept supported by many branches of science and for practical purposes is a fact.

When one wants to express the idea that an idea is unproven, they should use the word HYPOTHESIS. "Evolution is not a hypothesis, it is a theory."

Misconception (truth):

Viral infections can be cured by antibiotics (they can't, most bacteria and fungal infections can though)

If I feel better I can stop taking my antibiotics, so I can use it next time I fall ill (if you don't finish your antibiotic course, chances are the next infection will be by the same bacteria, except this time they will be resistant to the antibiotic)
