When you say you tested the water and it was fine, what does that mean? To help we really need the numbers from what you tested.

The red spots could be any number of things from nothing important to a major illness just beginning. We would need more details about the spots (size, location, any other details you can see) to be able to help you figure this one out.

Well, its Ulcer and its due to yr water is "dirty".Go to yr nearest aquarium vendor n ask for medicine which is green in color for treatment of Ulcers n Blood Streak. Its tablet form or whichever is available.Secondly, do partial water change every wk n remember not all water or half the tank of water,"PARTIAL".Lastly, remove the goldfish that got the red spot and quarantine it for 3 days without food n monitor. It shld recover within 5 days.Gd luck.

Sounds like your fish is sick, I think it's called red fin or something like that.
Go to a petstore and get treatment for them, usually you have to treat all the fish

additional info, here is a great site to check out for you

How big is the tank? Do you have an ammonia test kit? Describe the spots.

I would go to a place that supplies the fish ask consult them. It could (could) be contagious but the person will supply u with drops to put in your water to get rid of them.
It also could be just a growth.

u could move them to another tank, and keep an eye on him. Contact ur nearest pet store and find out medications, or if ur close enough take him there urself. its best that they see how he looks.
It could be Fish Ulcers, and u can get medicine for it.

You might want to give Petsmart a call before they close.
