I love amusement parks, not just the huge ones like Disneyland but smaller ones like The Enchanted Forest. What are the amusement parks near you? What "attractions" do they have? Are they camera friendly?

By camera friendly, the allow photography and videography. For example, at Disney MGM studios they have a cool Indiana Jones stunt show. You can video record the whole thing and take all the flash photos you want. On the other hand, I went to Universal Studios Orlando and they had this attraction called Earthquake and don't allow any photography. Likewise, at Universal Studios Hollywood they have this cool attraction called T2 3D: Batlle Across Time that shows robot terminators shooting at targets and they don't allow any pictures. It pisses me off because I really like to take pictures.

I live in the same town as Cedar Point, "America's Roller Coast", in Sandusky Ohio.Home of Millennium Force, which broke ten world records in its first year including tallest (310 ft.), fastest (93mph.) and steepest coaster. Cedar Point has many other coasters also including the Top Thrill Dragster, which was the tallest (420 ft.) and fastest (120 mph.) roller coaster on earth in 2003. Also the Mean Streak is one of the tallest (161ft.), fastest (65 mph.) and steepest wooden roller coasters in the world. The Magnum XL-200 was voted "the best steel roller coaster in the world", and is one of the tallest (205ft.) and fastest (72mph) on the planet. Oh yeah, did I mention they also have the tallest and fastest double twisting roller coaster in the world. The Wicked Twister goes 215 ft. high and reaches speeds of 72 mph. If you are looking for a thrill ride then I'd say Cedar Point is the place. They are camera friendly, just don't drop it off a coaster.

let's see... the san diego zoo, the wild animal park, sea world. all three camera friendly. a little to the north is universal studios hollywood, disneyland, knott's berry farm, six flags magic mountain. these have the rides and can be camera friendly too. i feel like i'm forgetting one, oh yes legoland but i've never been there. there's also a very small amusement park near the beach, that's known as belmont park. whew!
... oh most attractions are camera friendly, but others aren't for a reason. universal studios hollywood has that t2 in 3d thing, the reason they don't allow "flash photography" is because it'll disrupt the show. think about how annoying it would be to see a bunch of flashes go off while you're trying to get into the whole atmosphere of being trapped in a movie. some people can get away with taking pics or videos as long as they don't get caught, so turn the flash off.

The closest ones to me (in Northern California) are Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (formerly Marine World) and Paramount's Great America, and they're both about an hour away. There's also Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, but that's farther away. They're your basic amusement parks, with the normal attractions. The only major differences are that Discovery Kingdom has animals, as well as rides, and the Boardwalk is on the beach. I don't know how camera-friendly they are since I've never tried to record anythin. I'm sure you can record all of the shows, but probably not the rides.

I live in central Ohio so I'm between King's Island and Cedar Point. Being a coaster fan I try to go to Cedar Point every year. They both have more rides than shows, but I believe all the shows are camera friendly. They prefer you not to take pictures on the rides though, a camera falling 400ft would probably hurt a lot.

I live 30 minutes from Busch Gardens Europe (Williamsburg Va). They are all for cameras. Their newest coaster, Griffon, is awesome! The largest Dive coaster in the world as well as the first floorless dive coaster. They also have great shows, but some don't allow flash photography and video taping due to the fact they are indoors or are done at night. Other than that though, everything else is great!

Valleyfair!
It is in Shakopee, Minnesota. It has 7 roller coasters one is kina for little kids (mad mouse) and a lot of fun rides. I dont know if they are camera friendly during the shows, but I see people taking pictures and videos of rides. I am so excited cuz I am going there in 2 weeks. My favorite ride is Steel Venom, which is a 185 foot impulse coaster and it launces you 90% staght up and twists at the same time then you drop backwards and go 90% up straight and it does it 3 times frontwards and 2 times backwards, the second time you go backwards it stops you at the top and you hear everyone go ugghh.
here is the web site http://www.valleyfair.com/

I live in Hershey so obviously I'm near Hersheypark. I also travel up to Knoebels Grove and Dorney Park. We also had Williams Grove but the rides there were terrible and I don't think I'd trust them not to break. I think one did and someone died a year or two ago and it hasn't been opened since. Oh and there is also Dutch Wonderland now owned by Hershey that is for younger kids. Most of these parks have typical attractions and don't care if you take pictures.

Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Leu Gardens, Silver Springs
The last two are very beautiful, more attractions rather than amusement parks. The others are your standard, big corporation amusement parks.
