The first thing is to make sure you have a tank the proper size to houses the angels you want to keep. If you mean one or two, then a 20 gallon is fine. If you want a group of 6 then you would need a 55 gallon.

Second is to have a cycled tank ready for your angels. They are fairly hardy, but can't take too much abuse like the kind cycling will put out. If you don't know about cycling, there is a link at the bottom of my answer that will explain it all for you.

Beyond that you need to research what type of tank and tank mates angels prefer. I have added a link with some good information about angels for you.

Read through these links and see if something occurs to you that you might have missed with your first angel. Sometimes it's the most obvious detail that is easiest to miss, like adding dechlorinator, or cycling the tank.

Also, sometimes a fish just doesn't make the trassition to a new tank. That happens from time to time as well as a sick fish that dies for no reason you can see, that happens to all of us eventually.

Please notice on the top of the page for the Angel fish link there are many additional pages dealing with keeping angels. That site sould provide the answers and help you need.

If after reading through this you have any other quesitons feel free to email me

In my experience, angelfish are very sensitive to water ph (acidity/alkalinity) and don't like sudden changes. They often have trouble moving from the pet store to the home aquarium. The fancy veiltail ones seem especially fragile. Don't just bring them home and dump them in your tank, but acclimate them slowly, keeping them in the plastic bag they come home in and gradually adding water from your aquarium over the course of a couple of hours. They may die even so if they are already stressed from having moved from the wholesaler to the retailer. Buying from a store like Petsmart, that gives a two week guarantee, is a good idea.

Once your angelfish do settle in, they can live for many years and grow to a fair size (in my 30 gallon tank, to the size of my hand).

Whenever I've had two angelfish in a tank, one would tend to beat up on the other. But if you have three or more, they form a school and are more peaceful. They usually don't bother other kinds of fish, partly because they are pretty slow swimmers. Tiger barbs and other fast, aggressive fish will harass angelfish, so don't put them together in the same tank.

Start with gold fish and work your way up.
