The new marriage can be shown to be invalid if it can be shown that one of the participants was married at the time. In order for this to happen, one of the participants would need to lie on their application to the person conducting the ceremony. Its called fraud.

The waiting time to get married is different than in others in each state. But, you married him before the divorced was granted and that is bigamy on his part. If she wanted to pursue it she could , but really you aren't legally married because at the time you married he was still another woman's husband. No, you are not legally married, why didn't you wait until everything was legal in that state. I would have found all the time limits for everything before you married , it may come back and bite you one of these days. If he decides to divorce you, than he can state you are not legally married. To make it write he needs to get a annulment or a divorce and he really couldn't get a annulment because his marriage was consummated with his wife.

Getting remarried before the first marriage is legally ended is called bigamy and is a crime. Since she was not legally free yet to marry, the second marriage is illegal and void from it's inception. However, bigamy is not usually prosecuted as a crime once the impediment to the second marriage is removed (in this case the final decree is issued from the first marriage). She will need to remarry subsequent to the date of the final decree of divorcement from the first marriage in order for the second marriage to be completely legal.

Until the divorce is final, I dont know of anyone who would marry someone. My question is why could they not wait just one more day and there would be no issue. But off the top of my head, I would say no, its not legal since paperwork for both the divorce finalization and the marriage have to be filed and everything is dated.

no it does not make the new marriage legal. you can only get married after the divorce has been finalized so the first date you could've gotten married would be the 29th. Which means that you need to get an annulment to nullify this current marriage on the grounds that you were legally incapable to get married and re-marry. some states will allow you to go through this procedure without all of the paperwork so talk to your county recorder's office and your local court.

good luck!

No because you are still legally married on the day you were remarried. Is the new marriage a result of an affair? In that case get the divorce papers ready for that one too.

I only know the laws in the state of Georgia. That is where I was divorced from my first husband. The judge told me that I may get married the next day if I wish....which I didn't but I could have.

Not legal, I would think. Even if it was just for a day...you can't be married to two people at the same time. That means the wedding is most likely invalid.

I would think if you get married before you are completely divorced your new marriage wouldn't be legal. I wouldn't take a chance on it.
