For one, this tends to happen in the flash version of chess, which is what I use because the java interface no longer works on my computer.

Sometimes, the chess clock will freeze. but normally what I do to avoid this is set an increment. When I play a game, say 6/0 for example, there seems to be a higher chance of the clock glitch. But, if you use something else, say 6/1 or 6/2, which doesn't really change the length, seems to work better. I hope this helps you, it sure helped me.

This just happened to me about one minute ago! What kind of crap is this!?
I was whipping the first guy and he left the room. The second guy came and his clock never updated. It was a 5-minute game but his clock was at zero!
What the f'uck?
I would have won if Yahoo Chess worked properly. This is nothing but bullshit.
I'm going to go to Google Chess, if there is such a thing.

In chess if you run out of time you lose. they have time on the games so an opponent does not stall or take to long. Your problem is that your program ware is freezing up with you.
