Yes, It is true that he has a sixth finger on his pitching hand next to his little finger, but smaller. We lived in Florida when he came to the Marlins and a picture of his hand was in the local paper. I remember the article was talking about other teams saying that his situation gave him an advantage throwing certain pitches, but that was never substantiated.

Kinda sorta. He does have 12 fingers, and 12 toes, but it's more of a nub, than a finger, but technically it's a finger.

His nickname is "El Pulpo" or "The Octopus." He has six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, a condition known as polydactyly; his extra small fingers next to his pinky have no influence on his pitching, as they don't touch the ball. I do not have pictures, but as a lifelong Braves fan, I definitely remember them talking about it and showing them during the games. He wasn't with the Braves long, but I'm sure you can google it and find some pics. Good luck!!
