I actually like Vince McMahon. Maybe not Vince McMahon the character sometimes, but Vince McMahon the person. Although the character is often times the most entertaining thing about WWE programming.
A lot of people don't like Vince because being 60 something years old, he sometimes makes himself the center of attention. And people feel that he should not even be on-screen and he should let the younger guys and girls get the spotlight like he does. That he should stay in the office and just run things from a CEO position, and stay out of the story lines.
People criticize Vince, saying they could do a better job then him. Well no one has been able to so far. And no one will ever probably do what Vince has done.

VKM is probably the third greatest business mind born after WWII behind Bill Gates and Sir Richard Branson, if you think people cause a ruckus about him now, his watershed moment came when he took over the WWWE and said that wrestling was scripted, that riled wrestling fans like no tomorrow. That one move, put wrestling/sports entertainment on the rocket ride it has enjoyed over the last 25 years because the WWWF was not beholden to any boxing commission.
People have to remember, he more or less stumbled into the role of bad guy because of The Montreal Screwjob because he was only looking to protect his company's most prestigious title after the entire Alundra Blaze fiasco when she showed up on Nitro and threw the WWF Women's championship belt into the trash.
As for the character, that does get overbearing at times, but when you look at the roster, it wasn't like the hey days of the late 90s when there was the Austin/McMahon feud, but there was plenty of talent so they could minimize the story certain weeks to build up the anticipation. Whereas today you don't have the depth in your company for you to run 2 or 3 possible main event storylines along with the undercard storylines.
I guess what I am saying is that I have a man crush on the guy.

He ruined American professional wrestling. You moron, those stupid "behamas" (behemoths, retard) are being pushed to the moon because of the worthless piece of s*** McMahon. And Triple H and The Undertaker are some of the only good things in that shitty promotion today.
Kevin L, what, do you mean no-one will be able to f*** up wrestling for an entire nation like Vince McMahon did? I'll agree with you there.

I don't hate him. I just don't agree with some of the things he does like ruining ECW and making himself ECW champ. But I think this new Vince is dead storyline is something that's pure Vince genius. He did it to get more people interested in WWE and it's working. It's had an instantaneous effect. Even people that are non-wrestling fans are talking about this stunt. I bet Raw on Monday will have much higher ratings then normal because people will be tuning in to see what hapens next.

To say the one "enormous" days used to be Gorgeous George could be a misnomer as I do consider that Jerry Lawler did get countrywide concentration along with his Andy Kaufman feud and World Class did have Kerry Von Erich as one of the crucial best "middle throbs" within the trade. So that could pretty much duvet the enchantment as to why WWF desired to head mainstream while he noticed those "neighborhood" promotions bought countrywide concentration....he simply copied them. I could additionally say Gino Hernandez from World Class did get a couple of appearing jobs on day time soaps again within the eighty's that drew within the feminine lovers.....which once more drew in a exact demographic. So once more after looking the luck of those men getting over with the common public....VKM determined that he needed to get that "Hollywood" crossover enchantment with celebrities. So what did he do.....rent Hogan who used to be within the Rocky three film and check out to get Mr. T worried within the essential feud for WWF. Pro: did what few might do take it to the mainstream Con: on the fee of crushing and shopping out all festival to setup a monopoly and the most important con of all could be HE thinks HE is the fundamental draw.

I've been watching since in the mid 90's and his feuds with Stone Cold were reason enough. On the show he cares about nobody, but himself and so nobody likes him!!
