this is for my essay, and i need to know what you think about divorce. like advantages and disadvantages, and why should it stay legal or in some countries illegal and vice versa. THANKS!

Very few advantages to divorce. Plenty of disadvantages. It's a horrible process and in most cases can be avoided by honesty, communication and love.

Divorce is devastating to families and it has had a negative impact on the country. The most difficult and saddest part of my life was coming out of a 23 year relatively happy marriage. It should be more difficult to become husband and wife as well as ending the union. However, there are already too many laws and we don't need any more red tape where the government is concerned. Too bad there is not a standardized common sense test that could be used in life's important decisions.

Divorce may sound like an easy part of life to overcome, but it is very difficult to deal with this subject if you ever have to run accross it. Especially, if you still love your spouse, you have children and/or you have spent years with them. You adjust to living with this person at times. The difficulty of the situation really depends on you. I would suggest you go out with your friends and try not to be alone in the beginning of the divorce and/or separation. Try to spend time with possitive people that will remind you how special you are. I would not suggest you get to close to a man at this point in time because you may be a little volnurable right now. Keep your mind busy and everything will be ok.

Divorce is outdated like marriage.
People should learn to be self sufficient and not need the aid of a spouse. If women and men are to be true equals then both sexes most demand Independence for themselves.
I am not short cutting child support, but that too needs to be re-evaluated. There needs to be better accountability for the money spent or NOT spent on the child.

There are no advantages to divorce...it ruins families and I am completely and utterly against it...
