I thought usually cheering was reserved for basketball and football. I've never heard of anyone leading cheers at a softball or baseball event. I've never ever seen cheerleaders at a softball or baseball game. However, rooting for a particular team in baseball is more traditional. And of course, you do have the "7th inning stretch" in major league baseball.

haha the froggie cheer it goes like...There was a little froggie who sat upon a log he rooted for the other team he had no sense at all.
