I am planning a trip around the world and I want to experience the local music of a lot of different countries/places. What I am trying to find out is where I will get the most amazing experiences listening to and watching local music. I am not so much interested in the more popular styles of music but the more traditional and even indiginous music of each country.

If you want good music, you can't miss Greece. Traditional Greek music is one of my favorites. Even their popular music always seems to have traditional elements in it. I went to Athens this spring and it was refreshing not to have to listen to Beyonce all the time.
