This person is getting porn and it comes to my email with her email address. Does anyone know what I can do about it? How to stop it? Her email name only has the first 4 characters in common with mine.

What is actually happening is that some spammer is sending bulk e-mails from a list with lots of harvested names and the one you see represents a hundred or more that are send as Blind Carbon Copies (BCC) that you can't see. One way is to into Tools / Rules and Filters and set up a rule that if it isn't addressed to you in the To: field (To: does not contain) it is shuttled aside or deleted. Unfortunately, this will also block any legitimate BCC mailings such as Lists that you want to get, so you may have to set up other filters to catch those first and put them in other folders.

You shouldn't open unsolicted email from unknown sources. Often what happens is that when you open up spam, it sends back a trigger to the originating source indicating that a valid email address has been found thus subjecting you to even more spam down the road. Even using the preview pane in email products sends web beacons back to spammers.( http://helpdesk.gwu.edu/mailfilter/spam.html )

you can put the perosn such her email address onto youre blockers list homepage and click save then there will not be any problem by her again . i think she is the one keeping senting porns to youre inbox cause so how she had youre email address . anybody can do that to any body else who had gave their name and e-mails addresses and had sent you those kind mails . either you dont remember you did .

Most likely this is spam that is being BCCed to a large number of email addresses, including yours.

The only real way to deal with it is to use a spam filter.
