That something is following you? Like when you get up in the night to get a drink of water, and after you turn off the kitchen light you get the urge to half skip half run back to bed and get under the covers as fast as you can?!? My husband and I both do this, but we always feel rediculous because we are grown adults! haha.

But we aren't afraid of the dark, and it doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally.

Yes I have had a bunch of "encounters" with spooky stuff. And I DO believe in ghosts, but it's still so creepy! That feeling that you have to run for your safety. And you are constantly checking behind you....

One afternoon when I was napping, as I was just recovering from surgery. I was awakened by the sound of voices talking in whispers in my room. One of the voices I recognized. It was my mother's. I heard her tell someone, "Oh she's asleep." My mother passed away in 1997 and this visitation occured a month and a half after her passing. I had the impression she had brought some other long deceased friends and relatives with her to pay me a 'visit'. I opened my eyes expecting to see my bedroom populated with unexpected guests. Instead the room appeared empty, albeit slightly chilly, inspite of the summer afternoon heat being warded off by only a window fan and the curtains were over it to keep the light out so I could rest. When I got up to search the house for guests I found none. My husband was still at work too and the doors were all locked. Yet I could not shake the feeling that I was not alone in the house that afternoon. It's rather a comfort to know that death has no dominion. I never feel I'm alone even when I appear to be.

Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the duvet...

BOO!

Actually, yes, all the time. Like my wife (also), I'm rather sensitive / attuned to that sort of thing. Sixth sense is good, knowing that the think you saw out of the corner of your eye really is there, that tends to freak you out.

Are they just avoiding you? Are they even aware of you? Or are they watching you?

Spooks I can deal with mostly. It's the little buggers that give me the willies. Faeries, gremlins, brownies, call them what you will. I can handle losing my keys and glasses and having them turn up in the same place. As these things go I find the idea that we might share our world with such fay creatures rather cute.

Not, it's when you see them dash out of sight so fast, a little dark blurr at ankle level. I wish they'd just stand still, give me the finger and get on with whatever mischief they have planned. Evil sprites I can live with, it's the other thought that makes my **** twitch.
"Dear Gods, these tell me if was a some Elfin kin and not a b****y rat, I hate rats!

*twitch*

Well I am very happy that the both of you feel that you are adults... But the fact still remains that ghost and spirits do exist. And yes it is also very possible that a spirit or a ghost are watching your every move.... All humans are equipped with certain instincts That may have keeped you for doing something that could be harmful. But we all also have a soul that can detect other spirits.. But because we can't see anything we try to make lite of us humans felling something is following or watching us..... When in truth we really are being watched by who knows a supernatural being.. So the next time you get this feeling please do be to quick to brush it off. Just take it as normal thing and go about your business in spite of it ok...................................................................................

I knew a guy like you. that's kinda off-putting if you attempt to get a lady. human beings will many times imagine of you're easily no longer fascinated. does no longer call you creepy, basically attempt to get out extra, talk extra... there are a competent form of persons who might want to like you precisely the way you're, the in ordinary words mission is that in case you do now no longer some thing social in any respect, you're unlikely to fulfill any of them. possibility is, they are all sitting at living abode for 10 hours an afternoon, taking section in piano and drawing, wondering in the journey that they are unusual/creepy for now no longer doing some thing on a friday evening...

When I was in hospital recovering from having my appendix out I had been given a private room as I could not sleep in the mixed ward (Too much snoring) and my pain relief had worn off, I woke up in terrible pain and was crying in bed when I felt a tug on my drip tube, I looked up thinking one of the nurses was checking my tube and I saw a nurse, dressed in old fashioned uniform with that sort of nun's type head dress on, she was holding on to the drip pole and I pulling it away from the bed and I remember shouting "No!!!! I need that!!!" and the next second the real night nurse came in with some medicine for me. I am not sure whether that was caused by pain, but she looked pretty real to me.

It happens to me too; just last night in fact. My bathroom is about 2 steps from my bedroom, and even though the light is on in my room, when I turn off the bathroom light, for just those few seconds it takes to cross the hall, I sometimes get spooked. I've flipped the light back on real fast before, but of course nothing is ever visible.

I think my Dad's spirit hangs out in my basement sometimes. :)

I don't now but I did when I lived in this apartment in college. That place was creepy and weird stuff always happened. Nothing like that has happened to me since I moved though. The bed would shake, the door would close by itself, the lamp would turn on by itself, just weird stuff like that.

Yes I have gotten that creepy feeling! That was many years ago though when I was a child. How about walking with the lights on or maybe its just the fear of the darkness? Overcome you fear because life in fear is no good.

Here in the valley weird stuff happens.....I remember getting off work kinda late...11 pm....I was unlocking my bike to ride home....I felt someone looking at me....it was really strong....I looked around in all directions checking to see who was there....did not see a person anywhere.....but I could still feel the eyes watching me......I looked across the highway & there it was.....a coyote sitting there on its hind legs...looking straight at me....very weird for a coyote to come so close to town....fear shot down my spine.....I got on my bike & proceeded to ride east on the highway...rode about 5 blocks then turned right which had me heading south on the highway.....about 5 minutes later I could hear something running beside me......I turned my head to look....the coyote with red yes & his tongue hanging out was running right beside me.....scared the living daily lights out of me....I almost crashed my bike when I realized he was right there 3 feet away from me. I got home like 3 minutes later ....I pulled into the front yard & jumped off my bike & ran into the house told my husband that a coyote had followed me home.....he ran outside with a rifle .....but it was gone....vanished.....I told my Mother what had happened she said that it could have been a "bruja". Someone evil who has the power to change shape. This really happened to me. It is not a story of make believe. But very Real.
