Well here is the deal wrestling is made to entertain so some stuff can be fake and some real!!!! Jerry Lawler beat Andy Kaufman up for real for saying wrestling is fake!!!!! The Road Warriors did the Doomsday Device on some dude and broke his neck!!!!! Owen Hart piledriver Stone Cold on the concrete and hurt his neck!!!! The fake a part is like Vince blowing up, now why would someone blow him up and he never had any death threats!!!! Also some wrestlers often get fired, this is mostly fake because they need a vaction or they are doing a new project for a while!!!! So it goes either way!!!!!

A lot of the fighting is choreographed, the outcome is predetermined, and they aren't punching and kicking each other as hard as they would be if it was a real fight. Also, a lot of the wrestling moves they do are not possible to do without the full cooperation and assistance of the wrestlers on the receiving end of a crazy move.

So it is fake in that it is a staged show and not a true fight, but that doesn't mean that there isn't athleticism involved or that people can't get hurt trying to pull off stunts for the show.

Wrestling is not fake.

It is scripted. Sometimes more loosely than others.

Wrestlers do their own stunts. They jump off ladders, smash each other through tables, and hit each other with chairs. They're trained to do it with minimal injury, but accidents happen.

Also, sometimes the injury is a cover for when they're doing a movie or a tv show. Just part of the storyline.

Other times, its all too real. May 23, 1999 wrestler Owen Hart died in the ring. I remember people saying it was staged, an act, a publicity stunt. It wasn't until the news covered it the next day that people would believe it. Sometimes horrible things happen. Pay-per-views and Monday Night raw may be choreographed, but they are live tv, after all.

I wouldn't use "fake" to describe it or comment about it.
Is staged, yes it hurt to fall on a mat or on the floor, or to get hit with a chair. They are also athletes and athletes get hurt. They break bones and they injure muscles and sprain things...
fake is the story and who gets to be the "champ". The injuries just comes with the work you do in the ring either by mistake or fatigue. Is part of that job. Many punches and kick are never landed, its just camera angles, I guess that is the only fake thing during a match, but the lifting and landing on the mat and body punches I'm pretty sure they hurt like Heck!

to make it easier, you could injure yourself by running, by falling, by jumping and by lifting, not being a wreslter!

They dont get injured on purpose! You try getting thown off a cell in the hell in the cell match by the Undertaker, that's what happen to Mankind (Mick Foley)! He fell right through the announer's table! In the tables, ladder and TLC matches their were alot of lnjuries! If the wrestlers make one mistake in a tables match when your going to fall through one, you can break a rib or ribs!!! But the tables are weak so their easy to break so when falling onto one you can cut your back or chest wide open! Wrestling is fake but, there are alot of mistake, look what happen to Owen Hart! I hope this helps!!!

Wrestling is fake in the sense that the damage you see inflicted in the contestants is false. Look at it without passion and you will see that if 90% of what they seem to do was real, there would be dead bodies at every performance. However, wrestling is risky because the choreography involved requieres very good physical condition and an accute sense of timing so that you can fake falls, attacks and injuries and make them credible and in doing them you can fall (instead of dropping) and injure yourself. Look closely, if possible, tape it and run it in slow motion and you will see what I mean.

F*ck every non-fan who answered this question. They get injured because it's a risky career- I'd like to se you land on your head after a Kenta Kobashi suplex and tell me that it's "fake". It's scripted, not fake. I can't believe the nerve of these retards who think they can tell those who have been watching wrestling almost their entire lives that it's all "fake".

Wrestling is totally fake . It's all about $$$. If they get seriously injured, it's a mistake. Maybe he didn't come to rehearsal, or thought he didn't need some certain padding. But, according to Hulk Hogan,it's all just for entertainment. I'd much rather watch a real boxing match. (as long as it's stopped before someone gets hurt.)

Picture a soap opera, in which the participants are highly trained athletes.
While the plot is scripted and some of the movement are choreographed, it is, not without risk.

They get injured because they pull muscles, twist something or the stunt goes bad. Very few times it is because they are trying to hurt each other.
