To be missed at all would be an honor. I won't be that picky.

Ummm.... What about my Mac & Cheese Casserole? I know a few people who would sorely miss that! Just kidding...
Okay, seriously now.
I guess it would be different for each different people that I know. It certainly would depend on what I mean to them in their lives - a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend.... I can't say exactly what it would be for each of them.
But I would like for them all to remember how I loved life and everything that came with it, good or bad.
I would want them to know that they need to accept the fact that I was gone and THEY need to get on with their own lives.
And that missing me is just another part of it, whatever it is that they would miss most about me....
C’est la vie….

I don't want to be missed, but I want to be remembered for all the good things I've done in life and the things that I've tried but didn't have the time to accomplish. I want people to remember my words, my ideas and my say! I don't want to leave grief or sorrow behind! I want to leave a will which will make people be active! :-)
Thank you! Once again stunning answer as ever!!

My grandfather (with whom I was very close) died many years ago. After the intial shock of the loss, I can't say that I've missed him because I feel he is still with me. Everything he and I did together, all the funny and smart things he did, his stories of his war, serving on the home front... all of that good 'stuff' is always a part of me.
I guess that's what I want for those who know and care about me.
Peace

I want to be missed for my willingness to always be there for others who need help. I want to be missed for always being there for those who need someone to listen to and I want to be missed for always having something absolutely positive to say when a person needs encouragement or just a good kick in the a--! I love being there to help and encourage people...Good question to make you think!

I have no idea yet. Is that ok, too? I mean, not knowing?
I was wondering, Enki...How many questions a day do you ask? If you were gone, folks on Yahoo Answers would miss you as THE questioneer! :D

That I really was a honest person and cared for other people. I really wanted to be there if somebody needed me. But now I'm gone so figure it out.

That which is useful to the perceiver. I should be at least
somewhat pleased if I can move a grain of sand after
I am in the grave. In other words, to be gone is to
have no capacity to hold anyone to their word. Therefore,
I should be content that anyone should do anything positive
from my part.

Just the thought of being missed makes me feel good.
Almost sure that I’d like to be missed for who I am, for my uniqueness and my character.

My singing through thick and thin.
I sang. I sang in the proverbial shower.
I sang in the line at the grocrery store.
My life was SONG.
I Have no need to be missed.
GIVEN THAT
When I'm gone, I want ( to be remembered) as FAIR, DECENT, GOOD, and
an intellectual, whose favorite moments were being a clown, a musician, an entertainer.
