You are incapable of peace now. You have destruction in you in the form of raging internal conflict. You believe that you have private property and must protect it from 'others' by using the police. Armies are only extension of this police force that you call out when what you see as yours is threatened. If you can't even be at peace as an organism, why would you think peace would be possible? Accidental destruction through a genetically manufactured disease could be probable but deliberate destruction is improbable as we are too scared of it to let it happen on purpose.

The way it has worked, historically, is that there is a great destruction, followed by a time of peace. But you have to realize that we are human being, there will never be a Utopian style peace in our world. It just goes against human nature. Especially with the extremes in religion that are out there. But I do see peace in our life time. But not in the Middle East.

I dont believe there will ever be total peace in the human race,
or on Earth, Destruction, and total destruction, is what I believe will come first. As long as man is around there will never be peace, It ,Peace will come with the destruction of man.Sorry to sound so gloomy, but it is My opinion.

Given human predisposition toward the us vs. them mentality, conflict and selfishness, world peace does not seem very likely at any point in the near future. World destruction, on the other hand, is also unlikely, but conceivable. Process of elimination: world destruction wins.

There would have to be a major shift toward higher consciousness for world peace to come before destruction. It will most likely take a cataclysmic event such as a shifting of the Earth's magnetic poles or something to cause a majority of humans to awaken from their slumber.

The only way world peace will happen is if there is an immediate danger to humans as a species.

i.e. alien invasion, global catastrophe, etc.

So probably world destruction.

Destruction, though not total... and a gradual movement toward peace.

obviously, life on other planets would be accepted before peace- so, I'd say destruction is inevitable
