I connect my Netgear wireless router at home . and I connect my laptop to my router . it’s working fine , but when I try to connect another laptop that is also successfully connect to the router and taking the DHCP ip . but in 2 laptop I am unable to open internet . why ? what is the problem … help me .

This can be as simple as the sercurity settings.

If you are using security on the router, turn it off and see if the connetion works. If it does then reset the security and recheck you passwords etc.

There are some wireless cards that do not support ALL security like WPA most will support WEP . Older cards are usually only WEP enabled.

If you are using MAC authentication be sure you have added the second laptop to the list.

1. try swapping port connections on the router.
2. Do you install netgear router sofware on the second laptop?

Use the wireless wizard (control panel) to set up the second laptop. ~
