I have several friends who ride with LAMAs! If I could get a motorcycle with air conditioning, I'd only use the car to take the pets to the vet. I used to ride in the Toys for Tots every year, even after getting snow on my face shield on the ride home. But the crowd is too much for me now. The crowd is why I've never been to Sturgis or Daytona, too. How can you 'get away from it all' if every body's going there?

Price of gas is another reason to ride. Yeah, I like my car, but I love my bike. ride on.

I think that each has their own purpose. I love my motorcycle but if I bought a new TV or something, I'd probably stick with the car ;)

Motorcycles are more fuel efficient and more fun to ride. They are also a bit of a hassle when it comes to wearing extra gear and things like helmet hair. Riding in a Chicago snowstorm also doesn't sound too good to me.

A good car can be fun too, but it is rarely as exhilarating as rolling on two wheels. They are a little more versatile when it comes to carrying more than one passenger or hauling a lot of stuff.

I do like motorcycles however they're [NOT] better than a car. This answer may get some criticism but IDGAF i've rode my motorcycle in all weather and let me tell you it is not fun at all! Motorcycles are fun in the summer. But in the winter there a "No No"

There are valid reasons for both. I live in Phoenix, it's going to be 110 degrees F here tomorrow. Will I ride my motorcycle to work? No, I will drive my air-conditioned car. When I go shopping or take my family out to dinner, will I ride the motorcycle? No, I will take them in my car. If I want some time to myself to get my mind off of work and my family, will I drive my car? No, I'll be riding my motorcycle.

I love motorcycles. Motorcycles are better in the aspect of cheaper to drive and insure, and are more fun. But they are no fun in the rain, or winter months. Everytime its nice out and I get stuck driving my truck instead of the bike, I feel like pouting like a 12 year old. And im 25. lol.

Motorcycles better than cars? No, to me the motorcycle is strictly a funmobile, not a serious means of transportation. I'm reminded of this when I am driving my car during a heavy rain and I see the motorcycles stopped under an overpass or something, waiting for the rain to stop.

Also if you are involved in a collision you are much better off in a car since you at least have some protection, whereas if you are on a motorcycle you have little if any protection.

love is such a strong word. I love my wife. I love my son.

do I love a machine? well, hmmmm.

Motorcycles are fun, I really enjoy riding my bike. For a few years, I ONLY owned a bike. Rode in rain, sun, snow, etc. Got groceries on it, used it for every task imaginable.

Now? I like to have a truck, to take my dirt bikes to the track, or my son to daycare (till he is big enough to ride in a sidecar)

so I like motorcycles more than cars. but both have their place.

This depends upon the task at hand:

*I use the car to:

**Take the kids anywhere.

**Haul anything more than 20 lbs.

**Go anywhere (yes, even to commute) if it's raining, or more than 105 degrees outside (not a whole llot of snow in Sacto., CA).

*I use the motorcycles to:

**Commute to/from work (185+ miles per week)

**Go to church (if the kids are with their mom that weekend)

**Just cut loose.

**I average about 20k miles per year.

The bikes are substantially lower to insure, maintain, register (tags), and keep gassed up (Yamaha FZ6 = 50 mpg./ Yamaha Star Classic -650- 52+ mpg.).

The gear may be a hassle, but I prefer sweating over road rash/broken bones/death ANY day.

I've seen my share of bad auto accidents, too (I teach Driver Ed.), so wrecks are devastating, no matter how you cut it.

**The MSF course buys every one of their students just that much more safety on the road, if we heed what we're taught.

***However, every biker knows that It's never a matter of IF you'll dump your bike; but WHEN.

Peace.

(;=]

Cars. Motorcycles are cool and, I admit, they are very fun. But my friend got in an accident on a motorcycle and got all of the skin on her knees ripped of. Lots of stitches. The skin got a ll yellow and green. Why she posted a picture of on Myspace I'll never know. So cars win in the safety area, but motorcycles take the cake in fun.
