I am 32 weeks friday and just started having contractions. They are more than likely those Braxton HIcks ones but it's driving me crazy.
Not only are they bothering me but i can't even walk without being in constant pain in my lower abdomen. I stand up from a sitting position and can't even stand up straight or start walking yet. I have to stand there for a moment and clinch the pain a way with a crazy face and walk partially bent over and really slow still hurting........ It stays that way until i sit down......... What the heck is it?

i dont think i'm in labor.....are we sure it's not round ligament pain, braxton hicks, or just pregnancy pains......?? I mean, i dont want to look like an idiot if it's not real. I talked to a nurse today at my dr. office and told her and she didnt act like it was that big of a deal. They always make me feel stupid.

I unfortunatly am in the same boat as you. I have been having extremely strong Braxton-Hicks since about 20 weeks and am now 36. I have had my ob check me and while my cervix is soft she told that unless I am having at least 5 contractions every hour for at least 3 hours then not to worry. I feel your pain and hope that they ease off for you. Good luck.

Call in your support people and head to the hospital. Also try and get a couple of these things timed. Any other symptoms such as light staining discharge, mucous plug or water breaking or leaking? All must be told to the doctor.
Good Luck

Every doctor I have ever talked to has always said, if you can not walk through them, than it is real labor and get to the hospital!

In my prenatal classes we were told that 1) Drink water. If it's false contractions they will stop; and, 2) If your contractions are so hard that you can't walk or talk, they are probably the real thing.....
GOOD LUCK

So the debate is - are these real contractions or not?
Why don't you start timing them. If they're regular, or getting closer together - you're experiencing the real thing.

My suggestion is STRETCH..do lots of leg stretching this will help with you labor process. all that pain you feel is your body already beginning to stretch in preparation for the the birth of your baby. Massage is also good and lukewarm baths..

This is not normal. You are probably going into labor right now.
Off to the hospital with you!
