It's late, but still not late to go to a doctor. They may debride the scar tissue and may do a skin graft. Has it not affected the mobility of ur fingers?
Yes, it's unlikely that the wound will heal by itself.
Bye. TC.

Why didn't YOU bring the sides of the cut together? Now, you would have to go to the doctor. If they can--they will have to clean it out and close it properly. That means they will have to pull the sides further apart, then close it. It's been way too long for you to try and close it yourself. Yes, you will have a permanent scar.
Next time you get a cut like that, go to the doctor, ER, urgent care and have it taken care of within 24 hours. Or at LEAST go buy some "butterfly" bandages. You can get them at any drug store where they sell bandaids.

The scar grew as I did & varieties a three-sided sq. on my precise knee yet has relatively in no way afflicted me.while such issues have been allowable on passport info it grew to become into placed down as "a distinguishing mark" The black stitches are nonetheless seen yet i'm able to nonetheless keep in mind screaming like mad & refusing to allow the well-being care expert eliminate all of them lots to my mom's ire so there they have stayed & returned they do no longer difficulty me. I had additionally screamed on the injection in my leg to numb it earlier than the stitches & have a small scar the place the needle had broken off ! They weren't the finer gauge needles in those days the two.

The doctors only have so long before they can't sew things up anymore. You are way over that time. They usually only have a matter of hours if I remember right. You will have a nice scar but should go get it checked by your doc and possibly have a tetnus shot.

Geneally once the wound has begun to clot on its own it's too late to suture the wound. You should check with a physician to ensure that infection hasn't set in and that scar tissue isn't preventing healthy regrowth.

Way too late.
Typically you have HOURS to have it stitched. You need to see a health professional to have it assessed, you should have granulation tissue by now.
Its also a good idea to have a tetanus/diphtheria update whenever you break skin especially with a dirty cut.
I've been an ER nurse for 20+ years.

You should still see a doctor to check for infection. You may also need a tetanus shot.

you should have sought treatment within 24 hours, there is nothing you can do now but wait for it to heal, and yes, you will have a permanent scar.
