I don't know, why don't you ask our founding fathers, they were just average joes that got pissed and overthrew the government.

I think the only person without political experience that would get my vote would be a high ranking military official like a general or admiral. They may not have a full grasp on economics or trade, but they do fully understand defending this country which is just about numero uno in my book. The best example I could give would be Norman Schwarzkopf.

I want Barry Bonds..
according to most here...it's because integrity and honesty are not required to do the job..
the left would cringe if a money grubbing-foresaken CEO took over the Executive Branch...
and the Christians would be thinking Anti-Christ..
so why not a steriod chugging long-ball hitter?

I would be absolutely delighted. However, it can't happen. It costs a LOT of money to run for office, and individuals do not have that kind of money. So, they have to sell their souls to the special interest groups. Once they are elected, they have to vote the way those who own them tell them to vote. Someone new would be great, but the special interest groups would get to him or her quickly

I think they would make mistakes because of inexperience and would likely lose, even if they were the best person for the job
they also wouldn't have the fund raising infrastructure in place to compete

As long as they meet the minimum requirements, fine. That's why we have elections.

I'll have to hear what he says, in front of various audiences. (It's a dead give-away regarding sincerity.)
One point in his favor, he doesn't come with baggage!
