Negative wrong: Slaughter, the name sounds like some speed death metal band in the vein of Slayer, but they're nothing but a hair band.
Positive wrong: Lamb of God, they sound like some christian rock band, but I saw them live and was blown away!

Motorhead. The first time I heard them, I was turned off by Lemmy's voice. I saw them live as well - opening for Ozzy Osbourne on his first solo tour at the Palladium in New York City. Since I didn't know any of their music at the time ( they had just released "Ace Of Spades" ) I thought they were just noise. But when they released " Iron Fist " , I noticed that it got a really good review in Rolling Stone magazine - certainly not a Metal freindly publication - and I decided to buy it. Since then I've bought a lot of their other earlier albums and , I have to admit, I was wrong about them!

Metallica. Back in the day they were all about being heavy. No one thought that they would sell out. Then Bob Rock came along. Should've seen it coming right then. I mean, come on. After Load they should have renamed themselves Alternica. I must admit though that I liked St. Anger because they brought back the speed though it was a bit simplistic and they used protools (CHEATING! Real musicians record their songs by actually playing them.) and I'm hoping Rick Ruben kicks their *** back in the right direction.

Bullet for My Valentine. I thought I would hate them, but now I listen to their CD all the time. Even though he is not metal, back in 2000 or so I hated Kid Rock, but then he grew on me and now he is one of my favorite artists.

Used to like Breaking Benjamin but seen them in concert and they are lame...Hated Fall out Boy but took my younger sister last night to Indiana to see them and they were pretty good..Plus 44 was there with Travis barker so that was cool..But my fav. band is Godsmack really hated them but NOW I am OBSESSED

i hated avenged sevenfold when they first come out . never even gave them a chance till they released seize the day , then i bought there album and it rocked .one of my favorite bands now

the band dragon force, there image and logos and name were really cool until i saw them with KSE and they were horrible but i loveKSE

i can stand cradle of filth if i dont have to watch their gay shows...but dont tell anyone i said that...and even worse, i like "fully alive" by flyleaf. but she's still a *****.
