Country....."When I Get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley
It was played just yesterday at the Memorial Service for a very close friend.
I'm tremendously sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you.
Artist/Band: Paisley Brad
Lyrics for Song: When I Get Where I'm Going
Lyrics for Album: Time Well Wasted
(Feat. Dolly Parton)
When I get where I'm going
on the far side of the sky.
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly.
I'm gonna land beside a lion,
and run my fingers through his mane.
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain
(Chorus:)
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
I will shed the sins and struggles,
I have carried all these years.
And I'll leave my heart wide open,
I will love and have no fear.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
Don't cry for me down here.
I'm gonna walk with my grandaddy,
and he'll match me step for step,
and I'll tell him how I missed him,
every minute since he left.
Then I'll hug his neck.
(Chorus)
So much pain and so much darkness,
in this world we stumble through.
All these questions, I can't answer,
so much work to do.
But when I get where I'm going,
and I see my Maker's face.
I'll stand forever in the light,
of His amazing grace.
Yeah when I get where I'm going,
there'll be only happy tears.
Hallelujah!
I will love and have no fear.
When I get where I'm going.
Yeah when I get where I'm going.

I Love the song We Shall Behold Him, but my mother requested that I sing "The Lord's Prayer" at her funeral she always loved to hear me sing it and I was able to do it because she asked me. I loved her very much and felt her presence as I sang it at her funeral. I want my children to either sing or have someone sing "We Shall Behold Him" by Dottie Rambo. It is a beautiful song and very appropriate. I pray your mother knew the Lord and will be comforted in knowing your she is safe in His arms. God bless My mother died at 95 August 23, 2006.

"Mother Is Gone" by Hank Williams.
In a little pine grove by the old home
There's someone who's restin' alone
And there on the the tomb, these words I read
The words were Mother is gone.
CHORUS
Mother is gone, to her home
Way up in heaven above
And my heart's so sad, for the words I read there
The words said Mother is gone.
As I stood alone, with mem'ries of home
The place I left long, long ago
I returned home, but I waited too long
For the words said, Mother is gone.
My friends did say, before she went away
She called my name o'er and o'er
So trustin' in God's love, I'll meet her above
Over there on that other shore.
CHORUS

My mother recently passed away, we played a medley of her favorite songs, mixed with songs that my father, my siblings and I, felt fit our relationship/feelings/etc about our mom. It was great. Good luck, and I am so sorry for your loss.
