My wife is bipolar and OH BOY!! you talk about interesting, ppl can't understand it unless they've been through it. On a bad day before she got help and medication you couldn't keep up with her mood swings. In an instant she would fly off the handle for no reason and nothing helps. Then when I would get fed up and wash my hands of it, she would come running completely the opposite, completely adoring and couldn't understand why I was so angry. It's caused us to split up twice, once before she got diagnosed and once when she quit taking meds. Now with time she is better at controlling it without meds. Our doctor told us over 80% of bipolars end up single because unfortanatly most ppl don't understand it. hope it helps answer your question.

Yes. And you will often find yourself regretting what you said. In some cases you can take back what you said and apologize. In some cases the person is hurt and the friendship is lost. Biploar illness is controlled by moods. And if someone gets in your crawl that day...look out!

I have a sister with Bipolar, who has made my life a living hell. I have saved all of her nasty phone messages left on my answering machine over the years, so my family will quit nagging me to be in contact with her. I think instead of getting up and saying what a wonderful sister she was at her funeral, I'll just play the tapes.

Absolutely. During a manic episode, a person can become aggitated to the extreme of even becoming psychotic. Keep in mind that this person isn't feeling the way you do at the time, what you might see as a minor stress, it can feel like a major problem for them. What you might find an annoyance could drive them into a fit of rage. Likewise, when a person is in the depths of depression, their emotions are out of whack as well, and in a bad depression a person may feel like nothing matters, not even the people they really do love. They might even feel that their presence in your life will only bring you pain, so they may strike out at you to push you away.

Yes because bipolar disorder causes extreme mood swings in a person and can cause that person to say things they do not mean.

I live in a whole town full of bipolar folks. I think it's in the water. One day a person will be as nice as can be the next day the same person will act like they could care less whether you live or die. Its like living in a reality based version of the twighlight zone. Help!!!

Yes it can cause you to have Irrational mood swing and blurt out anything to feel less exposed, the problem being you may be just overreacting to a scenario that could be frankly, nothing at all.

Not unless it was already in their heart... No illness, trial, affliction, tribulation or problem can force you to do immoral, evil or wicked things...
