Get a larger HDD. Anything else is futile. 7 GB is tiny and ancient. ~

If you really are using a 7GB HDD, I would say that you are way due for a new system. But if you meant 70GB I would say get an internal or external HDD and remove the downloads and files you want to keep but don't need all the time. Drives are cheap. What O.S. runs on 7GB?

First video files, movies TV shows, take up a lot of space transfer them to disk.
Games can also take up large amounts of space do the same with them.

Next
Start>settings>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs
Wait till the list is populated
Click on each program
It will tell you how often the program is used and when it was last used.

Hope this helps

burn all the documents you want to keep to dvd or cd and then delete them off your computer other than that uninstall any programs you dont use/need any more. The only other thing to do is buy a new bigger hard drive.

It is about time you bought bigger HD. Alternatively, you may want to back up all your files on Cds/dvd; remove softwares you don't need; and remove windows component you don't need.
Good luck.

IF your having trouble finding those hidden ones call in a proffessional. Also look at programs you don't use anymore and delete them.

open up my computer...

click on 'tools' in the top menu, then folder options..

click on the view tab.. then 'view all files and folders'.. then click ok...

a lot of your 'hidden files' will be in c:\documents and settings\(your user name)\local settings\...

folders you're likely to see in there..
Temp
Temporary internet files
a few others

another place to look is if you have system restore on, and how much space is reserved for it..

control panel/system/system restore tab.. if it is on.. you only need 1-2% reserved for system restore..
