Their fans were talking sooooo much crap about how bad the Yanks were playing they forgot they have to play all the games on their schedule. As a matter of fact, the Yanks got more press by losing than the mets did when they were winning. The Mets have hit their July-August slide early. You know the one -2 and 23 in their last 25 slide! Hopefully it lasts longer too!

They are losing right now because a lot of important players are injured. They have 3 Relievers on the DL which is never good since most relievers aren't that good. Also one of their best Starting Pitchers, Pedro Martinez, has been out all year. Also a few batters, Chavez and Alou are out.
Also some of their pitchers are just getting back and are still getting back in the game, just in a slump.

Even good teams can go through collective slumps. Jose and Beltran aren't doing much and Delgado isn't doing anything. I'm not worried. I seem to remember they went through a period like this last year, too. Just wait. Pretty soon everyone will start hitting at the same time, and they'll be winning games 10-4, and everyone will forget all about this stretch.

They just ran into the best team in baseball. Dodgers win! The-uh-uhh... DODGERS WIN!
Well honestly it was bound to happen. They have awesome bats but their pitching absolutely blows. And if you think old man Pedro is going to change things whenever he finally gets off DL, think again.

they are terrible. it breaks my heart. it is time Randolph dropped his 'loyalty' and gets rid of the old men like Del Gardo and Glavin.
