The gravity of an object depends on the mass of the object. The greater the mass, the greater the gravity. That is why people "float" on the moon. The moon has gravity, just less than earth's gravity.. So, your question should be which has greater mass, the sun or jupiter, and I would believe that the sun has a greater mass.


The Sun is by far the largest object in the solar system. It contains more than 99.8% of the total mass of the Solar System (Jupiter contains most of the rest).
