I watched him last night fall away so many times that I expected him to run to the locker room. FYI - your not Jordan yet - you have potential, but I think until then, FUNDAMENTALS are key.

Medalphores - you obviously have never played basketball before. Following your shot is essential to try and get an OFFENSIVE REBOUND - (that is why they talk about that stat all the time).
I mean, not just Lebron, but most superstars shoot the ball, and head back to the other end - STAY WITH THE SHOT, grab it, throw it down, THEN go to the other end - with TWO MORE POINTS!!!

JOHN,
YOUR STATS SUPPORT MY COMMENT - Lebron has 8.2 boards per game, but only 1.6 of them are OFFENSIVE - Do me a favor and look closer at the stats before calling me out.

I don't know . but I do know Exactly what your talking about it seems after any shot from the Cavs the whole team already starts to head the other way ,I guess they just Figure its going in and we need to get back ........I've noticed this throughout the whole playoffs and everytime the Cavs shoot there are 3 defenders under the goal and ZERO cavs players ,,,,,,,,,Lebron needs a WIng man NASH would be fun !!

It has to do with the coaching; they'd rather get a stop than the chance for a shot. He doesn't think hughes + pavlovic can stop the returning fast break if he doesn't get the offensive rebound, so he stays back for the defense off a jump shot. He goes after offensive rebounds during a dribble-drive because he's too far away from the outlet pass.

However, i think in the case of the spurs, you're right. Rebounding is their one flaw and they have no one other than duncan and horry to consistently rebound. I would've had a wing and a big on the offensive boards, like james and varejao/gooden (alternate), off every shot; that would've forced the spurs to collapse for rebounding off a miss and eliminate the outlet altogether.

Its called floor balance. Lebron following his shot and NOT getting the rebound creates a possibility of an easy fast break for the opposing team. And in case you hadn't noticed, the Cavaliers are already one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA. They dominated the boards on Tuesday, but they are the "gang that can't shoot straight."

what game are you watching & what qualifies you to even ask something like that. are you talking about the same lebron that has averaged 8.2 boards a game in the playoffs?
http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/stats/. secondly, how do you know that its not theyre game plan for him to respond that way, maybe hes backing up to be ready for transition defense, maybe hes going back to the perimeter to set up the offense in case of an offensive board for when hes the shooter, etc... you sound like an arm chair quarterback who complains but has no technical knowledge of the game. believe me theyr are not out there playing a pick up game, this is professional basketball & every aspect of the game is calculated & planned, although im sorry to say whatever the plan is, its not being executed well, because i am a cavs from from cleveland.

I'd like to ask a whole lot of players that question. Especially after last night. Too many of them play as if they're guaranteed a basket just because they've thrown the ball.

Because this guys sucks and has no NBA knowledge. Or maybe he thinks all of his shots are perfect and that's why they are 1 game from getting their vagina's completely handed to them.
