There's this older boy who goes to my school. The day we met we just totally clicked and we were best friends almost immediately for like a month. Literally

We did almost everything together and there was rarely a time we were apart if we weren't in class. everyone thought we liked each other. then one day he just stopped talking to me and wouldn't look me in the eye.

I asked him if he was mad, if he was avoiding me, and he said no.
I also mentioned that we haven't talked in a long time, then he said, "yes i did, you said hi to me, and I waved yesterday" o_O
We had a few awkward 2 second conversations after that, whereas before we could have hour long convos without a problem. We just ignore each other now. Sometimes I see him in the hallway, and it's like he's making efforts to ignore me.

That was 5 months ago, and I still get mad whenever I think about it, because I have no idea why he just blew me off like that.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on in this guy's brain?

He's scared of getting close and the only way for him to respond is to back off - that's his defense mechanism. It's so that he won't have to face having to like you and get into a relationship he wasn't sure he wanted to have to begin with. He's just a coward, basically. A coward for not being honest, and coward for running away from a potentially good relationship.

He is immature, party girl, and you scared him with your friendship. He is too young to make a commitment, so he has backed away from you. It is not that he doesn't like you. It is that he is afraid of having a girlfriend, and his friends were doubtless needling him about that. So don't worry about him. He is just immature. Go find another boy!

Be straight forward and ask him. If he isn't grown up enough to give you an answer, that answers your question! He's just immature. Smile and walk away. Be kind to him. He'll grow up some day!

No...straight out ask him. Tell him it is not fair to you and he should explain. Also tell him not to worry, you are not going to be in his life anymore.
Go girl!!
