My boyfriend is turning 30 next month. I want to do something really special for him besides throwing a party. Does anyone have any ideas for something really unique that a man might like? Thanks

Take him on a vacation. If you're short on money, make it a weekend getaway.

Well, if he's a sports fan, perhaps a really nice dinner followed by seats at a home game for the both of you.
Another idea (if you're near a body of water) might be an evening dinner cruise or a dinner/dance cruise.
Or maybe a limo for an evening out on the town.

If you have the capability of looking inside his refrigerator this will give you the best clue. I'm not joking, I once gave my husband several flavors of A1 Steak sauce and all my girlfriends laughed at me, but my husband loved it. my friends were in awe. Men are simple when it comes to gifts. Also if you have a sexual relationship, you can always try some sexy clothes for you both, but something ask simple as a case of his favorite beer will work too. Just pay attention to him to figure out what he likes. If all else fails, get him stuff to pamper himself, no matter what that means for him. good luck.

I don't know if this will help but I found myself in a similar predicament, our 2 year anniversary is coming up. Turns out there's a concert that he really wanted to see so I got him some tickets. This is a band that I particularly don't care for so he was extra excited when I told him that I'd go with him and "try to start liking them".
Find something that he absolutely adores and go for that, and if its at all sacrificial on your part, it makes it that much sweeter and meaningful to him.

It Depends what he likes.
Most Men are really into electronics. So, if you can afford it, try to go for a Plasma TV or a new stereo system. If he is really not into that, try to give him something "special" that you dont have to purchase :)
