...or would you leave it as is?
I mean, when sub .500 teams can make the playoffs...or even worse, when an entire division is below .500, then something is wrong.
What do you say?

can we get rid of some of the teams so a lot of these scrubs won't make it in? maybe that will make some deeper, more talented teams...?

I know a common answer to this question might be the need to reseed the teams throughout the playoffs...and to a degree i agree...having the SPURS play the suns so early was kind of a let down because that match up is finals worthy. I dont doubt there is one person that would rather see the SPURS play the suns again than see the The King and his lowly servants run around.......BUT what i would change would be all the FLOPPING that has plagued the league. You cant pay that ANDERSON V-sumthing to stay on his feet in a game...what happen to physical basketball? Players now depend on the refs to do there work for them and bait one another into bogus fouls!

Change the free throw rules. Basketball is the only sport where getting a penalty is so well rewarded.
1. The team fouled should always have the option of taking the ball on the side with a new shot clock. This would stop the hackashaq and other crazy nonsense.
2. All fouls should be the same. Giving someone three shots for a crazy shot should count no more than fouling someone going in for a layup. Think about it.
3. Technical fouls should be added in with personal fouls.
4. The intentional foul rule and flagrant foul rule are really confusing. They should rewrite both.

I would eliminate ilegal defense and allow teams to run a true zone. That way it would force teams to either become better shooters, or to actually play basketball in order to get a decent shot.
I would also call traveling as for some reason that page seems to have gotten ripped out of the rule book.

I would hire midgets to be the Refs. At least the fans would watch the finals to get a good laugh at of it, rather than watching the Cleveland Clowns get their vaginas handed to them.

lower their salaries and give the difference to people who help the world (doctors, nurses, etc)...
