Orlando would be cheaper overall, significantly lower home prices. But one thing to consider if you plan on buying a home in Orlando is homeowners insurance costs. I heard that mnay homeowner's there are paying over $1,000 a month just for insurance b/c there rates have gone through the roof after the past couple of hurricane seasons.

California is a very expensive State when it comes to housing.....actually outrageous. We have lived in Michigan, North Carolina, Florida, Maryland and Delaware and in all could buy double or triple the size home for the price. We also have friends in San Francisco, Valencia, and San Diego. To that end, I would opt for Orlando if you want more for your money.
