Hmmmmm...... never tried that. lol I know some people that have a certain type of music in the background as they write. They say it truly influences their ability, their mood and therefore, the words that flow out. As for me, I need silence. That's why I write early in the morning when the house is still...... the kids are still sleeping and no one is up and moving...... but me. I suppose I don't hum or sing because my mind has to work overtime to just create. I'm not much of a multi tasker. lol I suppose I'm one track all the way. So no...... no singing for me. What do you sing as you write?

Only when I'm writing a song. No, really. When I'm writing a song I sing. The rest of the time I just make funny pooky noises until the dog gets curious and climbs in my lap!

I sing when I write...and while I'm in the shower, feeding my cats, using the computer, making dinner, riding in a car, putting on my shoes, working...I've had my husband tell me to shut up when I sing while we're lying in bed at night. He can't fall asleep with me singing. Poor guy. I sing the craziest songs that I make up...I'm lucky to be married at all. No one else would put up with it. My ex told me I sang out of tune, but my cats seem to love it.

I sing while I am at P&S at night ( I look so weird lol)
and while looking out the car's window
Somtimes when I am writting but I get confused and start writting what I am singing :P

Never,
I am so intensely in thought when I write, it would throw me off. I take what I say and my written words seriously and don't want to be misunderstood .
I like to hum and sing while doing housework and rocking my babies.
FYI- When I was growing up my dad would hum while eating a dinner he enjoyed. He was unaware of it and was embarrassed when we pointed it out to him.( it was usually a nursery rhyme he hummed)

I sing all the time, writing, reading, you hardly ever find me silent. It annoys people, but hey!!!
