Grace period. That's a good one. You wish.
I presume your checks haven't been returned. If you are lucky, your recipients decided to pay the 2¢ postage due rather than return your checks to you and wait for you to re-send them.

I believe they stated if you mailed your letter over the weekend and was in a mailbox , it would be sent without sending it back for postage. How sweet of them you didn't have any grace period at all because at the time you mailed that later it was still 39 cents. Monay was the legal day to use 41 cents. There not going to give you a thing , just take away.

Postage increase not stupid, but part of a process so that the US mail pays for itself. What I think is stupid is degree to which US Mail competitors can lobby the process so as to undermine any schemes that would make US Mail more competitive with them.
There is no grace period. Postage rates one price one day, another next day. Your mail will be returned to you with notation how much more postage needed.

We were notified of the increase about six months before it took place.
Later there were daily announcements on the news, plus all that crap about the forever stamp that obscured the issue.
NO they won't give a grace period.

No. You'll probably get them all back for insufficient postage.
