r = x/201 = 1809/x
cross multiply
x^2 = 1809 * 201
x^2 = 363609
x = sqrt(363609)
x = 603

I really like kaith_29's approach! -- 'Very elegant. However, the answer is incomplete.
Here's a more primative way to look at the problem.
To get from 201 to 1809, you're going to have to multiply 201 by the common multiplier 2 times...   (once to get to x and again to get from x to 1809)
201*R^2 = 1809
R^2 = 9
R = +/- 3
So, x = 603 OR -603
Try it, -603 really does work with -3 as the common multiplier.

201 / x = x / 1809
x^2 = (201)(1809)
x= 603 or -603
So, the sequence is
201, 603, 1809 or 201, -603, 1809
