Honestly, A-Rod. He's a toolbox, but there is no question what he can do on the field. Cabrera's weight bothers me...if he keeps eating & blowing up, it might hurt him. Alex can hit for more power than Miguel...people have not started to change their approaches with Miguel yet...everyone plans around A-Rod.
he's in better shape, he's faster, and he has a better arm. A-Rod (while the errors are there) is a 5 tool player. Miguel is only a 4 tool, as he cannot run well.

Well it depends on the circumstances. If you're talking about for the rest of their career, I'd take Cabrera. He's young, can field alright, and hits for average and power. If we're talking like a one, three, five, or seven year contract, I'd take A-Rod. Just because he's better than Cabrera, at least for now.

Cabrera is a good young player with a huge upside while A-Rod is a monster that could someday hit 800 homeruns. At 32 years of age A-Rod is right in his prime with many good years remaining. You have to go with A-Rod.

Definitely A-Rod...he's the best player in baseball...if Cabrera ever has a shot to shine in the post season he might get the edge, but that may take a while on that team.

A-Rod for sure. Cabrera is a young stud, but I would worry about his weight being an issue in the years to come. Every year he is getting bigger and bigger, and it isn't from the weight room.

ARod only because he has handled the pressure already of being the highest paid player at one point. He has already dealt with the most difficult fans in the world (Boston and N.Y.)
Also no one can see him slowing down anytime soon. I like Miggy but not sure how he would react out of that small Marlin pond of his.
