My 2 mollies and 2 swordtails (in my 5 gallon tank) always look hungry. I walk into the room and they come to the top of the tank where I feed them. I turn the light on and they come to where I feed them. I leave and check on them and they're still there. They gobble down the BIG flakes but not the smaller ones. I used cloudy water stuff and it doesn't help!!

You need to cut back on the feeding. They will always act hungry, but don't fall for it, only feed them what they can eat in 2-3 minutes twice a day. This will also solve the cloudy water problems.

You are the master. Don't give in to their fish mind tricks. Your fish can only eat too much if you feed them too much, which you are obviously doing. Don't use cloudy water stuff. Treat your tank and fish with proper feeding and maintenance and you will not need any chemicals that just temporarily mask the problem. Get on a regular partial water change schedule, a twice a day feeding schedule and if there is any food that isn't eaten after about 10 minutes you are feeding too much. The proper amount of food is a lot less than most people give their fish.

Stop feeding them so much. AS long as you feed them, they will eat. That is what they do. Just feed them once a day. Whenever my fish were over fed while I was out, I would just not feed them for a day or two, until their bellies went back down to normal. Fish don't need to eat a lot, but they will if you feed them all the time.

Fish will always be hungry and they rapidly learn to beg. You are overfeeding them if the water is cloudy. Feed them only enough food that they can completely consume in a minute once or twice per day. Trust me, that will be plenty, they won't starve. More fish have been killed by overfeeding than underfeeding. A fish's stomach is only as big as its eye.

Stop feeding them! if you feed them too much they will die, some fish just like eating but u have to ignore that. Only 2 times per day and a little of food.

They're just begging. The more you give in to that, the more they will do it. And yes, fish will get used to being fed once or twice a day and stop begging until it gets close to feeding time. Just be strong and don't feed them. It wouldn't hurt to make them fast for a day and then start feeding them once a day. If you choose to go to twice a day after a couple of days, that's fine too. Just break yourself of the habit of feeding them when they ask and they will eventually stop the constant begging.

Well, they cant feed themselves, so if they are eating too much, then you should stop feeding them. Just feed them twice a day. Fish will keep eating. They dont know any better. They usually do stop when they are fool, but if you put food in their tank fifteen minutes later, they will eat again. Just control, how much you are feeding them.

Just remember you are in control and they are dependent on you.. Over feeding is the number one cause of fish deaths. You know that you are feeding them enough. Have confidence.

Usually fish that are always hungry are known to be really healthy. Your fish sounds really healthy to me. Just feed them the bigger flakes because they could see it better.

Just feed your fish how much they can consume in 5 minutes, and they will be healthy.
Good Luck
