Is it true that if you visit this web site you will be infected by numerous malware/spyware and viruses? Has anyone tried it and what happens if you remain on the site until the timer runs out?

No, what is true, is that they keep all your serching data in their computers. And will turn it over the police, including the Chinese Govt., if you are from China. They love helping the Chinese get their citizens arrested for going into websites that the Govt. of China does not allow or has blocked.

They do use tracking cookies if that is what you are worried about. Otherwise they are clean.

The website does nothing for me, with firefox 2.0.0.4, and NoScripts 1.1.4.8. WOT gives me a warning that the website might be untrustworthy from other user's ratings of the website.

it looks like it makes a popunder (like a popup, but in the background), with javascript (the popunder doesn't do anything, it just has some text on it, and some links, no javascript or anything).

It also looks like, when the timer reaches zero, it will redirect you back to index.html. It stores a cookie on your computer to see if you have had the popunder yet.

It doesn't look like it would do anything harmful, though I wouldn't suggest giving out any information to the web page or downloading anything from it, because it has such a low rating.

Well, it doesn't affect nothing unless you download something and you live it there for days. They probably can harm the computer.
