I just have to ask. I consider myself an centerist democrate. And there are certian things I dissagree with Hillary about. And there are things I agree with Conservatives about. But they are simply ideas. I for example at first did not like Newt but the more I hear and read about him I agree more and more. So I look at policy. But when ever I hear conservitives on radio or TV (I am a politicl junkie I even watch CSPAN) they just seem to HATE her with a firery passion they just spew their discust fo her period. I feel that even if she agreed with them on a point they would slam her for it. Help me what is it about Hillary people hate so much. BTW I will not vote for her I disagree with too many of her policies. So not a Hillary lover but dont hate her.

It's a carry over from her husband. They hate what they fear. I'm no big Hillary fan either and I even agree with Newt on a lot of his ideas, I just flat out don't trust him. I think some of our problems were started with his contract with America. He reminds me of our President who called himself a compassionate conservative and you see what we've gotten from that. Billions in the hole and thousands of deaths.

They hate her because they fear her. I think they know that she could easily take the nomination and whether they admit it or not, most of them know that the Republicans are going to have a hard time winning in '08, no matter who the Democrats nominate. The Dems that don't care for her, will for the most part, vote for her over any Republican if she takes the nomination and they know it. I don't see much from the Hillary Haters in here about her policies. They don't seem to have much knowledge about that, and what they think they know isn't even correct information most of the time. It's mostly rhetoric about her, the "socialist" label they've latched onto and the old unproven stories about her and Bill. It's easy to see the hatred, it's displayed in silly schoolyard names and talking points they get from Rush, Bill O'Reilly and Coulter. I can respect someone who doesn't intend to vote for her because they don't like her stand on the issues, but the others remind me of a bunch of rabid parrots.

EDIT: A great example? "Alpha Male" and his Clinton Hit List. It was long ago debunked but they post this garbage like it actually means something. Just in case you are interested here is the debunking:

The concept of politics and "Wings" is one of opinions.
You vote for the guy that you agree with most, and a conservative isn't going to like a liberal like Hillary. Why? Because Liberalism is the opposite of being a conservative in terms of stances on the issues.

While very intelegent she shows no moral strength nor character, while her husband fraug her thru the mud,she stood by, not because of loyalty but just because she saw future role in poilitics.
anyone who read the book just written will know she even went so far as to plan on running against her husband for Govenor.

I would ask the same thing why democrats hate Bush so much. Granted, Hillary is probably more capable than Bush is, but like you said even if they agreed with an aspect of Bush's policy, they'd never admit it and find something wrong in it regardless. And while there's plenty to not like about Bush some still stoop to 9/11 conspiracies or Hitler comparisons that really make them look foolish.

Good question and it deserves well thought-out, logical answers. I will try to keep it short though. It really is a very long list of why she is so disliked.

To start, she is a socialist of the calibar of Carl Marx. Remember "it takes a community to raise a child"? That is about as socialist as it gets. Parents are responsible for their offspring. Others participate, but it is the responsibility of the parents.

She is a well documented liar. Over and over again when asked about Rose Law Firm billing records, she denied knowing anything about them, but yet they showed up in the residential section of the White House.

She is a murderer. Vince Foster was ready to turn her and/or the billing records in and look what happened to him. He shot himself in his hotel room and then walked across the street to die. Never heard of anyone else doing that.

She is a total fraud. What exactly has she done? Nothing.

So why does the liberal democrat party give her credit for being the best they have to offer? That is a totally empty promise to those in that party.

That is primarily why conservatives do not like Hillary. Others don't like her for other reasons and well they shouldn't. She will only do and say what she needs to make herself look good and get her what she wants. I really do not like her at all. Oh and by the way, I am republican only because at one time that party was conservative. Now I am not so sure.

The reason why the cons hate Hillary is multi-fold.

First, and foremost, she is a woman, and as you know, according to the cons, a woman's place is in the home, barefoot, and just making/caring for the home, and kids.

Next, she can win. They are simply jealous, because she has a brain, and doesn't just spew the party line, like most of the Republican hopefuls.

Moreover, she often makes sense. Her views are easily understood by many, and they go along with most people's concerns. The cons find this to be another threat.

Lastly, she is a woman, and they do not see a woman as being capable of running a country, no matter how much they say so. They may talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk.

The Clinton brand name. It's Hillary's greatest asset, as well as her biggest liability. People will feel about her the way they felt about her husband.
