a friend of mine and her so called 'enemy' got into an arguement. eventually the arguement escalated and ended wih the so called enemy ending up saying 'i hope you kill yourself' to my friend who is now wondering if there is any legal recourse to this womans actions (all of this was through texting over cell phones so everything is saved) which i am asking everyone here on her behalf (searches turned up nothing for me).

nothing illegal happened. the "enemy" made no threats on anyone's lives.

what you have demonstrated however, is the childish behavior of both of them, and you should just tell the both of them to grow the hell up.

no legal recourse...if the girl is texting ur friend and bothering her, she should put out a restraining order. Other than that, they both need to grow up and find some business!

There is no recourse. Tell your friend to break off all contact with the enemy.

I doubt it. She didn't say she was going to kill her, she just said what she wished she would do to herself ~ big difference.

What I don't understand is why people don't walk away when they start arguing with someone rather than keep it going? Children argue, adults either sit down and work out a solution or they walk away. Apparently there weren't any adults handy that day.....

Unless your friend is a psycho therapist patient because of her suicidal tendencies and her "enemy" is her psycho therapist she MIGHT have a case.

Anything outside of the aforementioned scenario is out of the question.
