Ever since I took my laptop to school to try and connect to its wifi, now my laptop won't connect to the net at ALL. I have wireless DSL at home and I'm using a Westell card. I have NO IDEA what's going on. Can somebody please tell me how to fix it?

you have to open network neighborhood and make sure your wireless card is listed and active, if it is not listed check your device manager, if not in device manager, you have to reload the software for it.

When you want to use your computer with wi-fi, you should disable your wireless card or take it out before booting.

When you want to use your wireless card, be sure your wi-fi card is disabled.

You do this through start | control panel | system | hardware | device manager.

You can enable it when you want to use it.

I have seen many cards simply de activate. Is it definitely active and looking for a signal?
You can try disabling and re enabling the device.
