We want to move to Ohio, but have no idea what part. My family lives in central Indiana so we want close to there somewhere/ I need to find a place that is reasonable, low crime rate and racially diverse( we are a interracial family). I also need somewhere with a good school system( my daughter is in 3rd grade). Please help! How are the jobs there?

Columbus Ohio is a great place to live. It's a big city and full of culture and very open and diverse. You have your choice of neighborhoods and schools. There are plenty of private schools as well. Lots of great jobs!

If you have a family it's a great place to live. All kinds of activities to do. The Columbus Zoo is great and well worth the money. It's close to Cedar Point amusement park which is voted best park in the US with some of the top 10 roller coasters. Kings Island amusement park is close too.

Lots of places to shop, several malls in the area. Easton Town Center is very nice.

I live in Florida now but I lived in Columbus for more than 15 years of my life. I travel there a lot. It's a great city.

Areas to check out are:

German Village--beautiful unique homes.
Gahana
Worthington
Westerville
Reynoldsburg
Polaris
Easton area

Don't get sucked into purchasing one of those new build homes from any of those companies. They are throwing them up every where. You will get hit with a high mortgage payment after the first year and the home will be crap.

The Cincinnati area is a great place to raise a family see the information below. In that area Forest Park is probably the most racially diverse and is reasonably priced. Though there are other areas that have better schools such as Liberty Township, West Chester, and Mason.

Weather is simialr to Indiana and I-74 can take you straight to mid-Indiana.

Really good museum center - http://www.cincymuseum.org
Really good zoo
Great children's medical facilities
Plenty of Sports and other activities for the kids.
Hamilton County and Bulter County both have nice Park systems.

Jobs are really going to depend on what you are looking for. Check out Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com for the job outlook in Cincy.
