Taking a solo trip to Vegas in August and planning on staying at 3 different hotels during my stay. I know sounds crazy but I love the vegas hotels and couldn't pass up some great experiences at hotels i haven't stayed at yet. My question is: is it worth paying for a taxi from the Aladdin to Cesar's Palace? This is my 4th trip to vegas but have never had to deal with a taxi. I will be switching hotels so I would have my mid sized rolling luggage bag with me. Should i walk (i know they are not too far from each other) with my luggage or take a cab. And how much would it cost. Trying to find the most cost effective way of doing the switch.

Hello - I go to Vegas every year, so I can definitely help you out!

Walking in August would not be recommended - it'll be in the high 90's-100s, and carrying even a small piece of luggage would be difficult because you'd also have to deal with the crowds on the sidewalk that never watch where they're going!

A taxi between the two shouldn't be more then $10. If you transfer between the two hotels between 10am - 3pm, the taxi can take you via the strip and traffic shouldn't be too bad. Going this way should be fast and relatively cheap. Unfortunately, I don't know of any other affordable means of transportation, because you are not allowed to bring luggage on the monorail. Also, you'd still have quite a hike to Ceasar's from the back of Bally's if you take the monorail.

If you consider that $10 usually doesn't last more then 15 minutes or less on a slot machine (and much shorter on a table game!), a $10 cab ride is a pretty good deal! If you are really thrifty and don't want to spend that much, try and find other people waiting in the cab line who are also going to Ceasars. You can share a cab, but ONLY if you decide to ride together well before getting to the front of the line (the cab drivers get pissed if they find out you're sharing a ride to save money, as this is their livelihood).

Hope that helps! Good luck and have fun!

take the cab....even they may not seem to be far apart.. there is a great distance between hotels...and with luggage it makes walk harder...taxi drops you off at hotel entrance and saves you time...time is precious in vegas...never seems to be enough....good luck

it would take you about 10 minutes to cross the road and walk down the strip for 500 yards keep the taxi fare and put it in the slots

Makes no sense. It's pretty much across the street. You'd be much better off walking - using the elevated walkway.
