can any of you help me with converting my external HDD

the way that i'm doing this is through Cmd and the command that i use is

convert G: (drive letter) /fs:ntfs

and it doesn't want to convert it even when i say to do so on restart so can any of you help me????

You almost had it remove the (driver letter) part. The code should be this:

convert G: /fs:ntfs

If your HDD Camcorder files have a .mod extension (JVC Everio) the best I found in the editing software Pinnacle Studio v10.1 or higher, you can import .mod files direct with no conversion needed. Hope this Helps.

Try going to Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Storage> Disk Management.
This should solve your problems.
